Photo-A-Day Challenge: Day #17: Inspirational

I get inspired in the kitchen. This photo about says it all - blender in use... fresh ingredients... green mixing bowl... The inspiration here is homemade honey-sweetened lemonade and whole grain chocolate chip cookies, both requested by A and E for their teddy bear picnic that we are having tomorrow. They decided about a week ago that this event would take place - last weekend, invitations were made and handed out to their buddies. The invites said something like this: "It is on Friday. 10:00. From, Abby". Instructions were verbally given to friends to bring a stuffed animal with them. We've been to the library and checked out teddy bear books and my kitchen adventures today will complete the menu of: lemonade, chocolate chip cookies, cherries, and Annie's organic teddy grahams (which I convinced the girls to use instead of me also making vanilla cookies and a cake, which was the original plan by the 5-year olds). More planning is going into this than their birthday party, but when one is inspired, no one should stand in the way. The teddy bear picnic was Abby and Elise's inspiration - so it is my job to make it happen.
